About this deal

For instance (SPOILERS), a male character digs one of the female POV characters, but she falls for none other Jack Kennedy. As a work of historical fiction, it is based upon and treats real events, but it does so from the peripheries that, still closer to the action than many or most of the readers could be. the assassinations of the Kennedy Brothers, especially Bobby, which made me look him up on the internet and I found that Follett describes it pretty much exactly how it happened (his assassin is still alive by the way - and he was interviewed by David Frost.

Now they come to one of the most tumultuous eras of all: the enormous social, political, and economic turmoil of the 1960s through the 1980s, from civil rights, assassinations, mass political movements and Vietnam to the Berlin Wall, the Cuban Missile Crisis, presidential impeachment, revolution – and rock and roll. And out of the 3 this one I could most relate to, because I was born in 1959,and the things happening in it up to 2008, I saw on the news.Rebecca looked around for something else to throw at him, and her gaze fell on the matchstick model of the Brandenburg Gate. Originally, he had probably intended no more than a flirtation as a way of getting inside the house.

Plus the whole thing about Walli shaking hands with Karoly's husband and "seeing something" then Lilli remembering it was absurd. In East Germany, teacher Rebecca Hoffmann finds her entire life has been a lie as she is targeted by the secret police, even as her younger brother, Walli, dreams of escape across the Berlin Wall to Britain.

If you liked the other two then you kind of pretty much have to read it just to find out what happens to the characters, but actually, you don't find out what happens to many of them. And not because I am irrationally offended when someone doesn't praise the all mighty Ronald Reagan.I can honestly say that I have never felt as sad to have finished a story as I have when I cane to the end, not just of Edge of Eternity, but the end of the Century Trilogy. Leer este libro, así como los dos anteriores de esta saga, es una manera muy interesante, apasionante y divertida de profundizar en la historia y de entenderla claramente desde todos los puntos de vista.
