Shake the can: Before using the spray adhesive, shake the can well for at least 10-15 seconds to ensure that the adhesive is well-mixed. NON-PERMEABLE– Liquid rubber paint creates an impermeable barrier between the substrate and the environment. They can withstand ponding water for flat roofs, or be used in overspill containment. They are waterproof, vapour tight, air and gas barriers.

Whatever you do, don’t force it open, because you’re more than likely going to tear the seal, which would then need replacing to prevent leaks, and that isn’t a two-minute job.
