About this deal

Maybe not by design – the narrative muddle of the five films shows that at least from a storytelling perspective there was no single, overarching plan – but certainly by theme, it makes you wonder why with On Her Majesty’s Secret Service often topping so many polls of best Bond film, with its devastatingly emotional payoff, we haven’t seen Bond as such a human animal before. At just 15 minutes shy of three hours, this is the longest Bond film, but it certainly doesn’t feel that way.

No Time To Die is a fitting swansong for Daniel Craig and his five film run really comes together as a cohesive whole. No Time To Die completely fails to match the grandeur and munificence of the back catalogue Bond Blu-rays when it comes to extra features, and in an annoying move, it turns out that the UHD release of No Time To Die has a comparatively substantial exclusive featurette. The picture on this film on 4K is outstanding, one of the best I've seen so far and I am rarely glad to add this to the collection. It’s not always noticeable in the image but it is consistently present and looks natural and free from any digital tinkering or other noise introduced into the transfer.

And while the plot falters, everything else comes together into a wholly pleasing greatest hits package – unlike Skyfall though (which was a whole franchise Greatest Hits package), NTTD is purely and magnificently a Daniel Craig Greatest Hits package. You must not modify the paper or digital copies of any materials you have printed off or downloaded in any way, and you must not use any illustrations, photographs, video or audio sequences or any graphics separately from any accompanying text. It’s a hugely musical track, the low throbs of the LFE saved for the various music cues across the soundtrack – feel those tight, precise, and barely audible low-end thumps of the opening lilting piano notes of the title track as the opening credits begin. Again for the 4th time out of 5 films in this incarnation of Bonds History he is not working for The Secret Service. And viewing both the HDR10 and DV layers on a Philips LCD didn’t identify anything significant in the way of difference between them at all. Universal's UHD release of No Time to Die features the four featurettes from the Blu-ray as well as an exclusive Daniel Craig Bond retrospective. But Daniel Craig just had that gritty, "is he on our side, or is he on theirs" uncertainty that makes him A-1 in Bond portrayers.Products labelled '*item fulfilled by Exertis on behalf of hmv' will be supplied to you directly by Exertis via their approved couriers. I was going to leave watching this latest James Bond movie until I had worked my way through the rest of the franchise on Blu-ray, but when it comes to picking a Christmas movie to watch, a recent blockbuster which I had yet to discover seemed the perfect choice. And finally, disc compression appears to be consistent and good, with no noticeable artefacts observed – bit rates hover between 25- and 35mbps for the most part across the entire film, with the odd peak nudging 45mbps, all of which were observed with a quick scan through the film’s playback information for those that like numbers. There are plenty of gifts to Bond fans, including one moment that made me genuinely whoop at the screen; rather embarrassing when I was the only one in the room.

I though Christophe Waltz was a wet fish as Blofeld in Spectre, but he’s a Hans Gruber of a villain compared to Rami Malek in this film. No Time To Die" on Blu-ray is an absolute must-have for any James Bond fan and action movie enthusiast! Bond uses in the series; what's new is cool, what's familiar has proven its worth, and it's a winning formula. He fill the movie with great action and stunts throughout it just simply has you glued to your seats. Not overly so – it's not up there with Dune in terms of slabs of thumping LFE knocking you off your feet – but it’s got a lovely balance across the entire audio spectrum. wonderful example) and exemplary skin and clothing output, both of which enjoy far greater intimacy than even the top-tier Bu-ray. Fine detail is exemplary, outside of some of the softness around the edge of the image inherent with the Panavision lenses and shooting style utilised.
