This was so powerfully written that Lucas’s narrative crawled under my skin and I don’t think this is a story that I will forget in a hurry.It is my humble – and I know I will be demolished for this – opinion, that Never Forget You is not a romance. The author has done a fantastic job in writing a storyline that deals with sensitive issues such as domestic violence and coercive and controlling behaviour. whatever story they just told was so boring nothing happened and you feel like u wasted your time just listening …you start questioning what else you’re doing wrong in your life.

I read this cover to cover in half a day – it broke me and then healed me and I cried happy tears at the end (HEA).I loved the love story between Lili/Alice and Ben and would love to see a sequel, maybe on the one of the side characters but the first of the sequel just devoted to their continuing love story. I didn’t totally agree with her decision making towards the end of the story, but I think her heart was in the right place and she more than redeemed herself. The author did a great job of the character Justin , as much as I wanted to punch him the way he was described was incredible. the only way i can describe it is when ur boring friend is telling u a story after you’ve sort of ran out of things to talk about, they’re half way through describing their story and then they stop. I also think that the way this is portrayed may make readers who are in a similar situation to Lili recognise the early warning signs and seek help.
