Those with two drawers are particularly handy if you want to cook different foods at the same time, but they can take up a lot more room in the kitchen than their more compact counterparts. Most air-fryers are multifunctional but not all extend their practicality to usable baking functions. Because the Rapid Air technology instantly reheats the air inside the appliance instantly, pulling the pan briefly out of the appliance during hot air frying barely disturbs the process. The first three select temperature, cooking time and cooking mode (air fry, bake, roast, grill or keep warm). Much like other Ninja products we've tried, we were impressed with the packaging which was largely cardboard and paper with very little plastic. Thoroughly clean the metal rack and pan with hot water, some washing-up liquid and a non-abrasive sponge.

It doesn’t have a separate pre-set for fish, but with a manual mode it’s easy to tailor the temperature to suit whatever you’re cooking, using the + and - signs. In fact, this increasingly popular appliance can cook everything from chicken to cupcakes (and much, much more) in a few simple steps, making it a great multi-purpose gadget to have in the kitchen.
