My only critique about the sound signature of these headphones is that their highs are a little too pronounced… so they can get a little ear piercing in certain situations. The ears are padded as well, but that cushion is less dense than what I have on a more expensive pair of Skullcandy headphones. The sub-bass in Lose Yourself To Dance by Daft Punk featuring Pharrell Williams is very loud through the Hesh ANC, enough that it’s a bit jarring.

Allowing some ambient noise around you can increase safety or will simply enhance the voices around you without having to remove your headphones. Ambient mode does make the surround sounds a lot louder so just having it on noice cancelling offs bit better. You will need to download the Tile App for this feature to function with your device, and it is very easy to set up!

It seems the bass is a big selling feature of the Hesh ANC and I mostly listen to rock music and podcasts.
