As with all good music biographies/memoirs, this one sent me off revisiting Blur and Graham’s solo material and also dipping into some of his work that I hadn’t yet checked out.

It's a nice enjoyable read, if you're interested in Graham's musical influences then he talks about these quite a lot within the book and I particularly liked his discussion about his later work as less has been publicised about that. this tries to balance being a light read (which I do believe it partly achieves, this is super easy to read - and this is coming from a person who is allergic to nonfic) and serving as a look into the creative process. Like the feminist punk scene in the 90s, folk was another tribe from which Coxon (the notional “pop star”) expected a rebuff.It's a simultaneously beautiful, dark, sweet and warts n all account of the life of a regular bloke with an irregular talent, thrust fairly reluctantly into the murky morass of fame and the excesses of the 90s music industry. This audiobook includes Graham Coxon in conversation with Matt Everitt, recorded at a live event in Brighton in October 2022. I think this one lands above Will Sergeant's (first) volume and below Jeff Tweedy and Johnny Marr's for me.
