Medium to long with sweet bitter almonds, it reveals itself again and again with the barrel selection. Today, the Glenfarclas spirit still lives strong and continues in family ownership under the direction of 5th generation owner, John Grant. The finish is long and luscious with rich fruit cake and coffee bean characteristics - so rich and full that it is a dessert in itself. Aged for a quarter of a century in Oloroso Sherry casks, Glenfarclas 25YO is a balanced and harmonious blend of dried fruit, caramel, toasted nuts and orange peel on the nose. Aromas of meadow flowers, baked apples, barley sugar and buttery brioche fill the nose, developing into earthy coffee and sweet raisins.It reveals notes of cherry, candied strawberry and white fruits combined with a touch of mirabelle plum, marmalade, a subtle hint of honey, flowers as well as a discreet hint of spice, honey, Sherry and vanilla.
