About this deal

i liked the accuracy of depression at the beginning of the book and i thought they’re relationship was cute for the most part but when james found out she had depression and flipped on her and everyone said “oh but she’s better now”,, i really didn’t like that because what happens if she isn’t always “better” like the whole reason he got with her is bc she’s “better now” and i think that’s weird. The heart ache, the happiness, the love, the lust, everything was absolutely amazing and made me fell as if I was living it! I literally couldn’t stop smiling throughout this book…but there were also jaw dropping heartbreaking moments in there too.Another thing Kristen does well is give you a bunch of incredible supporting characters to love and root for, whether they get their own books or not.

In fact, she’s moved back into her childhood home and she’s looking to revamp the place so she can make it her forever home. While her relationship with the patriarch of the Russo family is very minimal, it’s enough to give you an idea of how much she misses her own father. Keep me hooked and I even listened to it in my car to and from my workplace because I wanted to know what was next. I loved the positive affirmations that are presented and how the subject of mental health and how it affects a person is presented.

Chase smiled a smile that I recognized all too well – the kind of expression people make when they are smiling through the pain. Just one of those romance books that you read really fast, enjoy most of the ride but it's nothing memorable enough to make it to your top list. And no matter what, you can be the hero/heroine in your own story/life and have one awesome happy ending! There are several actions that could trigger this block including submitting a certain word or phrase, a SQL command or malformed data. Granata weaves so much into these pages that it would be impossible not to fall in love with this book.

The characters were interesting in their own way and I thought it was great how we got to see the heroine and hero each having their own struggles and dealing with them in different ways. Rough language is super hard for me to listen to, but I also understand the world we live in is rough. But when danger unexpectedly strikes, James is helpless to stop it as Phoenix gets caught in the crossfire. And as soon as I finished it, I wanted to go back to page one and read it all over again so bad that I’m sad that I’m never going to be able to experience it for the first time ever again! Lord have mercy, every time I thought it couldn’t get any better they proved me wrong over and over again.

They have gotten me through very dark times in the last few years and made me fall in love with this genre in a way I didn’t know I could. The heroine and hero reading together was really cute but bringing up an actual book by Kandi Steiner and even going into detail about it was just odd in my opinion.

I genuinely laughed out loud with their banter and cried like a baby with all the situations that got them together. Her inspirational stories will make you laugh, make you think, make you cry--and they always live happily ever after. That is completely unacceptable and something that a romance author should never use as a conflict just for the guy a couple of pages later to realise not by himself, but being told by his younger brother how shitty that was. Before I talk about how much I love him, I need to say this: TJ ( Fighting the Odds will always be the holy patron of Kristen Granata’s church.
