The 2nd volume just continued the same type of story, more hollows, little more description and world building, and some new characters. I also thought Ichigo and Rukia's relationship was always well balanced and of course the begining is classic.

If they lose Part-time student, full-time Soul Reaper, Ichigo is one of the chosen few guardians of the afterlife. Ichigo Kurosaki has always been able to see ghosts, but this ability doesn't change his life nearly as much as his close encounter with Rukia Kuchiki, a Soul Reaper and member of the mysterious Soul Society.Unless something drastic happens to the storyline or the character development goes down the crapper, this is a series I will continue to (binge)read.

At the moment of typing this review I have 1-12 volumes of this series in the 3-in-1 bundle volume editions. I can personally say its a good acceptance for this story (since this is his second created-own series) but where does it lead, well. Anyway, the main reason I read this is because in 2009 I discovered that Ichigo and I were hair twins, so I've always been mildly curious about the series.
