If you’re shooting video on a rig, or shooting remotely, the power battery pack frees up the camera’s USB port for communicating with external gear. If you're on a long shoot, you can hot-swap batteries without losing power and supply power to the camera via USB.

The MB-N11 dust- and drip-resistant power battery pack boasts a shutter-release button and controls for vertical shooting. Hot swapping of batteries is supported, convenient for use with extended video shooting or interval timer photography.
