About this deal

Brizio-Skov stated that films such as Malabimba - The Malicious Whore were inspired by The Exorcist but also stood in the tradition of Italian gothic films, in that they depicted sexually active women as being deadly and dangerous. Edizione in dvd spagnola della Llamentol che edita anche altri film italiani di genere in lingua italiana. With her father at a loss for what to do, he invites a beautiful nun into the castle to try and get her under control. Thanks to my non-existent knowledge of Italian, I'd confused "bimba" with "bambina" and assumed that the title of this movie translated to "Bad Baby". In a retrospective review, Jason Buchanan ( AllMovie) described the film as "a Euro-sleaze classic of the highest caliber" [6] Danny Shipka, author of book on European exploitation films described the film as both fun and shocking, noting that the film mixes both softcore and hardcore inserts.

The relationship between Bimba and Sister Sofia grows more confidential and between them a loving friendship is born. From the warped and deranged mind of one of Italy's foremost purveyors of top quality sleaze, Andrea Bianchi ( Burial Ground , Strip Nude for Your Killer ), comes one of the most shocking and blasphemous pieces of sexploitation cinema ever made: MALABIMBA . Italian film historian Roberto Curti noted the film's emphasis on eroticism, stating that by 1979, gothic films were infused with erotic themes that generally took over the narrative. Sleazy, smutty, scuzzy and yet less sexy than you’d think despite the handful of incongruous hardcore inserts and overall soft core eurocult vibe.

She also has a super horny Auntie on the loose(shes not possessed but wants to bang everything nonetheless). The script for Malabimba - The Malicious Whore written by Piero Regnoli, whose screenplays of the 1970s often surrounded by eroticism. Bianchi is never too concerned, but as the entire family confronts their repressed desires, they're finally relieved of the horror.

Shipka concluded the film to have several laughable spots and was best viewed with a group of both "discriminating (and not-so-discrimingating) friends".Not to mention the sheltered castle setting is straight out of a 60s Italian gothic, so this really has it all. On reflecting on her work with the producer in Malabimba, Giallo a Venezia and Patrick Still Lives, she commented that she "shouldn't have done them. So, when I first discovered Burial Ground a few years back, I also discovered this film right along with it. Some of the horror scenes-such as the séance at the beginning-are wonderfully over the top and stupid.

It's unbelievably sleazy (it's got hardcore inserts) and also super silly (the weird characters and the interactions they have with each other). Its also super sleazy 70s exploitation complete with tacky hardcore inserts that don't fit in at all with the softcore scenes they're spliced in with. However, the Sister soon suspects that Bimba has become possessed by an insatiable, sex-starved demon which will stop at nothing, including , to fulfill its depraved and unholy desires. Bargain bin Jane Birkin gets possessed by an evil spirit and becomes REALLY HORNY, so she seduces her dad, her uncle, a nun and her teddy bear.Of course I read this in a Marge Simpson voice and offered myself a Hibbert-esque chuckle right after. What this has to do with the actual movie is anybody's guess, so I suppose I should get on with an actual review.

Vinegar Syndrome specializes in the masterful restoration and distribution of cult, horror, and erotic films from the 1960s-90s. When I was first getting into exploitation films, one of the first ones I watched was Burial Ground an absolute classic of Italian exploitation cinema IMO. If you can`t tell which edition it is by the very small amount of Korean text beneath the English text then you can differentiate it by The Korean edition having a circular red mark on the DVD`s bottom right corner.
