About this deal

The breaded power cable consists of two USB cables, one for the keyboard and one for the USB port on the back of the keyboard.

Logitech Gaming software also allows you to invert the FN keys which means you can use the volume up/down/mute without using the FN key. The biggest difference between the Romer-G and GX-Blue switches is the actuation distance and travel distance.I also wanted to try a mechanical keyboard for the first time in my life and taste what those nerds were on about when it's just a keyboard. We've also added new objective evaluations to the Typing Noise test, and we've simplified several tests and removed several others that were no longer relevant. The Logitech has better ergonomics thanks to its detachable wrist rest, and it comes with dedicated macro keys and a USB passthrough to plug in other peripherals. If you want a keyboard that has onboard memory to save custom profiles, check out the Corsair K60 RGB PRO Low Profile. The Romer-G switches aren't as sharp or snappy in their key-press response, but they feel sturdy and make the G513 Carbon a lot quieter to type on than most mechanical keyboards.

While the palm rest itself is immensely comfortable, with a plastic frame, and padded all the way to the edges, the fact that it doesn’t attach to the keyboard means you can move it around, or keep it at an angle or a distance from the keyboard. The Logitech Gaming Software can be used for managing all Logitech accessories, such as mice, keyboards, and headsets. We've added new tests for Single Key Latency, Multi Key Latency, Data Transmission, and Chord Split. Any replacements made within the warranty period will continue to have a warranty that covers the original term from point of purchase. You can make, say, the WASD keys light up as a group, hued as you like, and you also have the freedom to choose among 16.

and there are plenty of mechanical keyboards out there that cost less and come with features such as dedicated media keys. GX Brown is a traditional mechanical switch providing discernible actuation for gamers who prefer direct tactile feedback.

To my fingers, the difference between the Tactile and Linear key switches isn't as stark as the distinction between, say, Cherry MX Reds and Cherry MX Blues. Its frame is made of both aluminum and plastic that feels sturdy and doesn't show any signs of flex. I have only begun using g810-led, and I have been having a blast with it writing my own Python and Bash scripts to animate and customize the G513 from within Linux.

During that time, I tested on Shadow of the Tomb Raider and Planet Coaster during standard everyday play (fine, I also dabbled in some Lawn Mowing Simulator), and stress-tested speed and response times in CS:GO as well. I usually clock around 90WPM with full accuracy, and interestingly came far closer to that rate with the browns inside the new Logitech G413 SE. I had a nightmare trying to get hold of logitech support when my m keycap paint started to come off.The Romer-G Tacticle and Linear feel pretty identical but I will say that the Romer-G Linear does feel slightly faster. The force required to actuate each key on the G513 Carbon is 45 grams force (gf), the same as the rating for the Cherry MX Brown or MX Speed versions of Corsair's K95 RGB Platinum, but less than the 50gf demanded by the "Green Switch" version of Razer's BlackWidow Chroma V2. And with LIGHTSYNC technology, lighting is driven by games, audio, or your screen to deliver the most immersive RGB experience ever. My only concern here is the leatherette coating, which did cause some irritation during warmer weather.
