About this deal

I would like to know if this way of washing is considered ok and common practice, as I think disposable wipes surely must be the correct way? Sadly it sometimes feels like it's not easy to do the right thing, but whatever you choose, cotton or bamboo, will be better than a single use plastic wipes. They're plastic and as such they don't break down in landfill, and when they do start to decompose they break 'up' into smaller and smaller fragments causing problems with micro plastics entering our food chains.

Adding switching to reusable wipes to the list feels like it could very easily be the proverbial straw that broke mummy the camel's back. I love these and love the way you are getting your older kids to use them … I need to work on getting my boys to wash regularly first though!

Three children (21, 19, 16)*** Mr TTC *** one dog *** Country loving *** Cottage dwelling in the South-West of the UK. Made of a high-quality 500 GSM 100% cotton weave, each flannel is highly absorbent and sumptuously soft. Avoid fleece, microfibre and 'minky' - all of these fabrics are synthetic and made from plastic, and will shed tiny little microfibres of plastic into the waterways when washed. These disposable soft washcloths provide an ideal solution for patient washing and care and are disposable to heighten Hygiene and Cross Infection standards. Obviously you can, but for full on eco-marks let them air-dry either outside on the line, or inside on an airer - they really don't take long.

Care is Sheila’s life; she possesses a strong command of the issues facing the care sector informed by her long career as a nursing professional, the owner and manager of a care business and as a leader in the care sector. It is particularly resistant to wetness, rubbing and therefore ideal for use as washing gloves, which you can of course use together with water and skin care products of your choice. These dry wipes are an ideal substitute for face flannels – just add warm water for a soft, chemical free wet wipe for use at meal times or any other occasion when hands and faces need a quick clean. If you're up for using what you've already got, then just an empty lidded tupperware tub will do the job, and if you can get hold of a small mesh bag that will mean you don't actually have to get down and dirty with the mucky wipes manhandling them into your washing machine.Soft and gentle to the skin, bamboo flannels are great for wiping and drying the skin after washes or when removing natural skincare or vegan makeup products. Please tick here to confirm that you want to be added to the Sustainable(ish) e-mail and to receive regular e-mails as well as information on courses and other products. If flannels are to be used regularly then each resident should have two flannels in use at any one time.
