About this deal

It is hope that you will die before your one true love because you cannot bear to live without them.

Case in point: this is probably the longest book I’ve read all year, and I still devoured it like it was nothing. i have so many questions because if it were up to me…this book would not have seen the light of day.

LET'S SUSPEND DISBELIEF and pretend it's possible that none of them realized they weren't who they thought they were. I recommend this to hopeless romantics, people who daydream as a hobby, Greek mythology enthusiasts, those who love a histrionic dialogue, the brave souls who don't mind a trope or a hundred. Hahah omg I can’t with your review, it’s too funny 🤣🤣 Those descriptions at the beginning are so ridiculous! I think my other favorite moments were any time Nash made himself vulnerable, whether it was with Emery or Delilah. I fell in love with everything and am heartbroken that this was standalone because quite honestly I would give anything to read more about Nash and Emery.

The dialogues and actions felt very overblown sometimes (almost no one in real life talks like these two, but we're okay with that, but just in case I'll leave this here. This is very much a slow and detailed exploration of the relationship between the daughter of a rich business and society leader, Emery Winthrop, and her best friend’s bad-boy, older brother, Nash Prescott. I loved how Nash was protecting her all the time, even though he was proclaiming that he wanted to destroy her. i just want to know who wrote these little scenes because it couldn’t have been parker…this is why i said earlier in my review that she needed to pick a writing style. Devious Lies was intense and delicious, with a really phenomenal, slow transition from hate to love.

Reed was the beneficiary of a lot of Nash’s good deeds and it allowed him to grow up without some pretty hefty burdens. it just drags out what they’re originally trying to say, but by the end of what they’re saying…i wouldn’t even comprehend what they were trying to say because my comprehension was buried with all this nonsense. you kind of get these vibes that nash cares for emery and then we skip time and she’s now 18 and he’s 28. By using the Web site, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by the Terms and Conditions. If you read my little info recap up there, you might have noticed that the list of tropes goes on and on; this novel is, in fact, a trope soup that will leave you full for days.

I wanted to crack open her mind like a book and read it, but I was fucked if it became my favorite book to read. please grab your popcorn and candy now😋oh and if you liked this book…look away now bestie, this review is not for you. all i want to say is that every time nash or emery talked to the side characters…i would seriously skim and not take in anything of what they were saying because it was so boring. i found myself just reading the dialogue so that’s my secret on how i finished this 700 page book so quickly. I’m with you on the underwhelming reaction to finding out they’d been each other’s anonymous “pen pal.

He sees the love that Emery has for his brother, and assumes that someday things will work out for them. i was literally bored in certain instances and read further only because I wanted to stick around for the conclusion cause I was already in too deep knowing and predicting full well what's gonna happen and voila it did cause that's how predictable the plot was. Girls like Emery Winthrop were the finish line, the goal you worked for, the place you strived to reach, the smile you saw when you closed your eyes and wondered why you even bothered. Emery and Nash together and separate, Emery’s dad, her mom, the business deals, and the SEC investigations to name a few.

However, I must admit I found their reaction to discovering that they were actually texting each other all this time underwhelming. Why is it that two people never realize how much they love each other until one of them says goodbye?Don’t start this one unless you intend to get sucked in for hours, because this is one book you won’t be able to put down. it was so random and it was supposed to make sense with the story, but the story itself didn’t make any sense so it was just a clusterfuck of confusion. Was the book a little long with too many flashback segments, yes, but as a reader, I have the luxury of speed-reading. emery and nash were also in an elevator, the lights were out and she didn’t know it was nash she was talking to. Jedes Wort, dass ich verlieren würde um zu beschreiben wie gut dieses Buch ist, wäre absolut überflüssig.
