Bona Mega Silkmatt Lacquer 5L is a clear, one component, waterborne polyurethane lacquer that offers superb durability on wooden floors and all other elements of interior joinery. The Bona Mega Floor coating is a convenient waterborne system, that stand up to the wear and tear of foot traffic the walks over your clean floor.

Using a Bona Primer will improve adhesion of the lacquer finish if applying the varnish to softwood plank floors, end-grain floors and hardwood floors with underfloor heating. Bona Mega is a one-component, waterborne, 100% polyurethane finish for the surface treatment of wooden floors in commercial and domestic areas subject to heavy wear. Previously waxed, polished or oiled floors cannot be overcoated with Bona Mega Varnish unless sanded back to bare wood. NB: It is recommended to not apply more than two full coats per day due to increased risk of excessive wood swelling.g. endgrain floors, softwood plank floors and hardwood floors with underfloor heating, it is recommended to always use a primer before applying Mega ONE. It has all the advantages of a waterbased system, but still gives a deep, rich colouration similar to a solvent based finish. Please Note: Bona Mega produces a subtle rich tone and is therefore not recommended for use over Bona White primer if you are looking to maintain a true white look. It has a slight warming colouration and establishes long-lasting protection for wooden floors in domestic and medium wear commercial environments. Preparation of previously varnished floors - Bona Mega can with an addition of 2% Bona Crosslinker be used for overcoating previously varnished floors (for factory pre-finished floors use Bona Traffic) but the intercoat adhesion must always be checked prior to use.Designed to offer medium wear protection, so ideal for specification in homes or lightly trafficked commercial areas.
