About this deal

The M50X seems to be a little more creaky than the M40x, but neither are completely creak-free while I have them on my head. As someone who recorded a podcast as well as other personal projects, I’ve found that they were exactly what I needed.

The folding, collapsible, low-profile design provides 'increased portability, making them a great choice for field recording'. The infamous ear pads are smaller in diameter than many other over-ear pads, but they’re decently thick, and there’s two layers of foam on the inside part against the driver as opposed to one. Engineered with pro-grade materials and robust construction, the M40x excels in professional studio tracking and mixing, as well as DJ monitoring. The ear cups on the M40X can only swivel 90 degrees forward with just a few degrees swivel in the other direction. And that’s a pretty good description, at least to my ears and double-checking against measurements out there. All the frequencies sound about right, especially the bass does not seem to be boosted, which is great.

I’ve found both the Razer and Audio-Technica headphones to fit well out of the box and be pretty comfortable once they’re broken in. The folding, collapsible design has ear-cup swivelling through 90 degrees and a detachable cable, with two cable types included. All models have 40mm diameter drivers, neodymium magnets and copper-clad aluminium wire voice-coils for lowest mass, resulting in extended frequency response and the capability to produce high sound levels, Drivers, oxygen-free copper litz cables, and ear-pads may be replaced by the user. The HyperX Cloud Alpha, Logitech G Pro, and even the cheaper RIG 400 are all options I’d personally prefer, for their comfort, sound quality, and decent microphones. You will be offered the best rate available based on your credit history and the lenders’ credit decision policies. All of those are going to have versatile sound signatures that don’t require you to force the impressively-flat M40X to be something it isn’t. With a 'low profile' closed back design and 45mm drivers with copper-clad aluminium-wire voice coils, the ATH-M60X are designed for studio and broadcast applications where clarity throughout an extended frequency range and 'accurate bass response' is required. connector and locking system used in other M-series headphones and many Sennheiser models, so finding replacement cables is pretty easy. So, now that we know the Audio-Technica ATH-M40x meet my comfort needs, let’s see how they stack up in terms of sound. This simply isn’t as much of an all-rounder giant-killer sort of product, in my opinion, as some folks have made it out to be.
