The cages look really good, I like the idea of the wood around the edges and shelving - I may be able to do something like that but my DIY skills are literally non existent. The Liberta Explorer cage is suitable for Degu, Chinchilla, Ferret, Gerbil, Hamster and other similar sized animals.

If the explorer lovers had had a Ferret Nation or Savic before they got their explorer, no doubt they'd agree that it wasn't as good quality. The pic shows splash guards on 3 sides, these are not included but will help so as to reduce gaps at the tray sides and back due to the way the cage is manufactured. I'm away from home right now, so I'm not able to help with specific dimensions, but I'm happy to help next week if others can't oblige Mind, splash guards may be cheaper by fixing perspex on the outside? The top cage doors are slightly out of alignment which means its tricky closing the door but sure we can fix that. the instructions could be a lot better its only small pictures on A4 but its easy enough to put together.

Anything over around half the footprint or around 2500sqcm counts towards CARA, extra full area shelves in the Explorer are excellent.
