If you have the power button on the front left of the screen, you have a QQ (8-bit) unit, which is different firmware. During the printing process, it becomes clear that less energy is needed to maintain the temperatures with increasing object height, since the fans remove less heat from the print bed for cooling. We tested this by plugging a thermistor into the corresponding port on the mainboard instead of the original one and then starting a print. With bang-bang control, the heating element of the print bed is turned on at regular intervals to maintain temperatures.

This is a mechanical switch, which must be attached to the print head via a magnet before starting the procedure. There are no big surprises here in terms of hardware; the limit switches, hotend and extruder are standard parts, as they are also used in many other printers.This machine is equipped with a self-levelling sensor, but a bit different from what I’m used to seeing on other machines.
