About this deal

This book is a great take on the way that the random different stereotypes ('geeks', 'bullies', 'weirdos') are inside versus how they're seen in the hierarchical system that is school. I guess it's because Alex was funny and nice, but Dan, all of a sudden, started to become nice to Alex one day while working on Shooting Star, and for me that just seems unreal, ESPECIALLY compared to the modern day school system. Of all the reasons that can give rise to that thought, the most common one is perhaps how hard life we had to live as a pre-teenager. His OCD makes it even harder for him but eventually SPOILER ALERT they begin to be the best of friends.

When Dan and Alex are pushed together by parents unaware of their relationship, we feel as tormented as the two boys. A moving and beautifully written story about what can happen when two completely different boys are forced to put aside their differences, for fans of Wonder. Then again, I am not a 12 year old with social anxiety, I am a 27 year old with social anxiety and a very strong opinion. All the things that could go Wrong" has also won many school and library awards, and continues to be shortlisted. The book could also open some important classroom discussions about the complexities of bullying and its effects.

Having a child with OCD mustn’t be easy and to see how the mother and father both react to Alex’s disease was fascinating to me.

We live in a big world, but for the first part of our lives we live in pretty small communities and don’t stray far from them. Dan is consumed by rage after his brother left, and unable to deal with his emotions he torments Alex, honing in on his weaknesses and taking out his pain on him.A neat story, well told, but I spent so much time feeling just a bit annoyed with both the main characters. I feel like the bad guys take so long to get caught and punished that the author felt to me like they were almost encouraging bullying.

We have a very complex family dynamic going on for both protagonists which completely juxtapose each other. Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item. Dan plays out his frustrations at school, messing around in class and finding easy targets at school to bully with his friends. Whether that includes small worries, such as homework or getting enough sleep, or big worries, such as accidents, death, and other extremely dark attributes of life.Dan, the class bully, distraught over his older brother's absence due to a felony charge, frequently bubbles over in anger. Dan and Alex were the two people that you would never expect to ever become friends, but Dan finally learned the right from the wrong and befriended Alex. It was really good and I think boys and girls will like it because it's about friendship in the end.

Alex has OCD which is seriously affecting his ability to do his schoolwork and interact with his classmates.

There was something so special about this book, and while it was painful to read, everything Foster wrote worked so well.
