About this deal

Briege reminds us of what we have in our Catholic Church/Faith and that Christ is a REAL PERSON in the Eucharist. Most of all, her story points the way to a closer relationship with Jesus, a greater knowledge of His love, and a deeper faith in His power to do the impossible. Today, the power of the miraculous is very much a part of our lives, from appearances of the Virgin Mary at Medjugorje, Yugoslavia, to the places where Sister Briege McKenna has healed the sick and the lame. La autora, una clarisa que tiene el don de la sanación física y espiritual, nos cuenta su testimonio de vida, sus experiencias y su opinión sobre diferentes aspectos de la vida cristiana y de la Iglesia Católica.

Read more about the condition Very Good: A book that has been read and does not look new, but is in excellent condition. Two days before my fifteenth birthday, the novice mistress came to me and said I was to enter the convent on my birthday. For more than 25 years, since she was healed of crippling arthritis, Sister Briege has ministered hope and healing to countless people all over the world, from huge rallies in Latin America to retreats in Korea. Her book also covers so many critical and sensitive subjects such as the attacks on the priesthood, the place of our Blessed Mother in our faith, etc. Here I am teaching forty-seven first graders, going to prayer meetings, leading a youth group, and going to a prison to minister. Since 1970, when she was healed of crippling arthritis, Sister Briege has experienced more of the extraordinary ways of the Spirit than most Christians ever imagine. There was a doctor who said he could do very little for me but wanted to try out different medicines to see if they could help me. After the prayer, he turned to me and said, Sister, I’ve never spoken to a Roman Catholic nun before, but I have a message for you.

Most of all, it points the way to closer fellowship with Christ, greater knowledge of his love, and deeper faith in his power to do the impossible. A woman came up to me and said, Sister, I don’t know you, but when you went to communion, the Lord gave me a picture of you standing with a line of people coming to you. This is a great book for those in need of healing (usually all of us) as well as those who are close to someone who is sick. They migrated to Australia with their son Henry in 1952, and settled in Melbourne, where their second son, John, was born.I told him he must not be much of a prophet, that he didn’t know anything about Catholic nuns, that I had given my life to Jesus. My fingers were limber, the sores were gone, and I could see that my feet, in sandals, were no longer deformed. She also has a winning Irish wit and no-nonsense manner which adds to the believability and charm of the narrative.

Full of stories of how Christ is working through this Sister and how we can each be instruments of God's love. The book is great for renewing faith in prayer, and offers much guidance and learning to discern God's voice in your life through prayer. Once so crippled by rheumatoid arthritis that medication was ineffective and a wheelchair was her future, Sister Briege experienced a sudden, remarkable healing-and received the gift of healing others. She reveals the necessary steps to a more successful prayer life and a closer personal relationship with Jesus. It’s difficult to describe the feeling, but I often describe it this way: I felt like a banana being peeled.

In the process of seeking for a deeper meaning of my religious life and a deeper, more radical commitment to the Lord, I believe that Jesus gave me a spiritual healing. This year 2010 summer July when I went back to Hong Kong and stayed with one of my dearest sisters, Miranda's house, she let me sleeping in her studying room. Sister Briege has a lovely sense of humor and shares so many beautiful ways for us to stay close to the Lord. Most of all, it points the way to closer fellowship with Christ, knowledge of his love, and deeper faith in his power to do the impossible.
