If I were traveling, my midrange Samsung tablet with the above mentioned external accessories (already have the case) would be a quite acceptable travel computer versus my much bigger laptop. It sounds like there are some of those 'gotchas' that always seem to happen on iOS when you get away from Apple's own cloud.
