Kate’s vocals sound almost buried in the instrumental on several tracks and sound a bit shrill in places. There are so many elements that make this disc unique - Kate's soaring soprano, her warm piano playing - but the one thing that perhaps sticks out most is how different her sounds were from anything else circulating at that time.

Her voice is sometines airy, somtimes thrill, sometimes distorted, sometimes clear, sometime like behind a pillow. Either "REMEMBER YOURSELF" or the misspelt "REMBER YOURSELF" can be found etched in runouts, the rest stamped. The production included efforts by several progressive rock veterans, including Duncan Mackay, Ian Bairnson, David Paton, Andrew Powell, and Stuart Elliott of the Alan Parsons Project, and David Gilmour of Pink Floyd.This includes the re-release of her chart topping debut album ‘The Kick Inside’ which contains one of her biggest singles, the UK number one hit ‘Wuthering Heights’ , notably written and produced in Bush’s teens. I'm not sure what else I can add - apart from Kate Bush's curiously moving vocal tone, phrasing and peculiarly English sound seem to work on some other exquisite level. My copy does have the “REMBER YOURSELF” matrix which I’m assuming was particularly early in the run, so maybe slightly later copies sound better?
