With these I had a learning curve with application – if you apply too much it can give me the shriveled lip look as many matte lipsticks can.

They claim 24-hour wear but to be honest I've not worn any lipstick longer than about 16 hours and they're not as perfect by the end of the day as they were when first applied. I really love the look of Ophelia and Ludwig – they are similar but for me different enough to justify both. I know I have eleven shades already but that's not going to stop me picking up Ludwig and Sanctuary to try out!

However, in amongst the millions of super matte lip covers, the Everlasting formula does shine as one of the very best.

I adore the brown and purple undertones of Sanctuary and Hawkwind, so much so that they have both become staples in my evening out looks. There's Sanctuary (the sepia that dropped last month), Hawkwind (a warm nutmeg that Allure editors have been drooling over), and Crucifix (a deep chocolate). I noticed that Plath doesn't dry as opaque like I mentioned before, but thought it was worth showing a few similar shades out to aid people looking for their perfect nude. Ludwig (a fawn) and Ophelia (a chestnut) are convincing me to feel the my-lips-but-better fantasy, though.
