I just recently got into the band gorillaz and was so excited to learn more about the lore and the story and everything I was quite disappointed when I found that the hardcover book is so expensive. As a long time fan of Gorillaz, I enjoy watching, listening, and reading anything they come up with. While I know most of the "real" background info on them, I much rather prefer to believe them as real people. It is, absurdly, the fictional autobiography of a virtual band, with fabulous graphic artwork and comical interviews. The book blends fact and fiction throughout, interspersing commentary from the band members with actual quotes from their creators, collaborators and critics.The book explores their origins, their loves and hates, they're issues, victories, writing lyrics, creating videos, collaborating (with the ppl that actually took part in creating the band), photo shoots, romances, affairs, hauntings etc, arguing and discussing every thing while showing pictures of them every step of the way.
