The best part of the movie is without a doubt the story between the mother and the daughters, but the movie took too long to get there. Netflix obviously tried to bank on the natural good looks of the two leads (there are plenty of suggestive, drawn out scenes in the beginning of the movie to convince the audience just how attractive the actors are), but I personally don't find either of them particularly memorable. While reading this I thought someone was yanking my chain! This is the most ridiculous plot I have ever read!!!! Even Danielle Steel on an extremely bad day could not come up with something so outlandish! And to think it was written by two men is beyond my comprehension. With so many dreamy things to do during a fairytale retreat, there are lots of reasons why Lincoln is one of the best places for romantic breaks in the UK. I was a little disappointed with this one. Maybe it was the wait or the anticipation that made me a little disappointed with it. Maybe it was the fact that this didn't even really seem like a romance so much as a telling of a family. Their hardhsips and struggles and their strengths and weaknesses, their life than anything else. I mean, really, out of the blue you get a phone call / videos from your mother that she is getting married on Christmas, the man TBD and story To Be Continued. Her big reveal is planned on Christmas Day in her barn on the farm. So I really want to ask, do you all (family) not talk much to each other? How does something big and life changing like this come out of the blue? Gaby thought it was “cute”; she thought it was “a clever game.” A ruse. To me, it was a joke! You don’t string people/friends along like this. In a series of video messages, Gaby invites her off-spring to the event while updating them on the candidates. The adult children are going through their own relationship, work and health dramas - which need Gaby's mothering. All in all, The Christmas Wedding was an enjoyable read. It was a nice way to spend an afternoon. I'm sure fans of Patterson will love it.

The book worked best for me when it centered around Gaby's kids and their lives. This is primarily affecting the main road (B1190) into the village from Lincoln and the Bypass. The road underneath the railway line is impassable at present.With just two months left to go until the truth behind EastEnders ’ year long Christmas whodunnit is officially revealed, fans are convinced they have rumbled the identity of the mystery murder victim as one much loved character announced her plans to leave Albert Square for good. While the cheesy title and cover-art suggest that it shouldn't be anything more than your typical Hallmark / Lifetime affair, this movie nevertheless managed to hold my attention throughout it's entire 2-hour run.
